About the project

The Gamification Leaderboard is a motivation and reward system for volunteers, ambassadors and active community members. Contributions are recognised, activity is tracked and long-term engagement in IT Community initiatives is rewarded.

Participation in events, hackathons, programs and projects is tracked in one place. Everyone sees their own position in a transparent ranking, and approved points build up on a personal profile to be exchanged for rewards.

How points work

Every point passes through a person.

Points are not handed out automatically. A volunteer requests them for specific work in the Leaderboard Bot, and the Project Owner or Project Manager confirms that the work actually happened.
