About the project
Girls in IT brings together schoolgirls, students and beginners and gives them practical knowledge, industry contacts and the confidence to keep going.
Offline meetups, workshops, quizzes, career sessions and conversations with women who already work in tech run through the year. The project also keeps its own interest clubs for sport, art and music, so people meet outside the classroom format too. The aim is to lower the entry barrier into IT, show real career paths and build a place where a beginner can ask anything without feeling behind.
Inside the project
What actually happens.
Every format is open to participants of any level, so you can join at the point that fits you.
- 01
Offline meetups
Regular gatherings where participants meet in person and work through topics together.
- 02
Workshops
Hands-on sessions built around a task you finish and take with you, not a lecture you listen to.
- 03
Career sessions
How people got into their roles, what they were asked at interviews and what the first year looked like.
- 04
Talks with women in tech
Speakers from the industry share their path and answer questions from the room.
- 05

Team games that turn what was covered into something you remember and compete over.
