About the project

Good Deeds Program is a social initiative of IT Community focused on helping people in need. It organises charity and support activities and gives community members a simple way to take part in them.

The program is built on simple, meaningful actions rather than grand gestures, which is exactly what makes it something a person can join without waiting for the right moment. A community is not only about what it builds. It is also about who it does not leave out.

What it does

Three things the program takes on.

Help rarely fails because nobody wants to give it. It fails because nobody takes on the organising part.

  • 01

    Organises the help

What is needed, who it goes to and how it actually gets there: the part that usually stalls a good intention.

  • 02

    Helps those who need it

Low-income families, children with disabilities and other groups in a vulnerable position.

  • 03

    Brings the community in

Members take part in simple, meaningful actions instead of watching the initiative from the side.

In practice

Help is a thing that arrives.

  • 01

    Gifts for children with disabilities

Gifts are bought and handed over in person, so the attention reaches a specific child rather than a general cause.

  • 02

    Charity visits and initiatives

Visits and initiatives that start from community members themselves and are carried out together.

  • 03

    Care for the city

Earlier community actions included a Botanical Garden cleanup, a plogging session and a Blood Donor Day.

Main goal

Two goals, and the second takes longer.

  1. 01Support those who need help, measured by what actually reached a person
  2. 02Build a culture of care, empathy and social responsibility inside the community

Who it is for

Two sides of the same program.

  • 01

    People in need

Those for whom support matters as something concrete: an item, a visit, an hour of attention from people who came on purpose.

  • 02

    Members who want to help

Anyone ready to give time, effort or attention, with no need to be an experienced volunteer first.
