About the project

IT Roadmap is a Telegram bot from IT Community of Uzbekistan. You go through twenty pairs of statements, and at the end you get a report that ranks roles by how well they fit you, with courses to start from.

Most career tests hand you one word and leave you there. IT Roadmap ends where the work begins: a ranked order of roles, the reasoning behind it and where to study next. No resume, no contacts and no personal details are asked for.

In numbers

Short test, long answer.

  • 20pairsStatements with no right answer.
  • 5minutesFrom the first tap to the report.
  • 10+rolesRanked from best match downwards.
  • 3levels of fitInstead of one flat label.

What you get

A ranked report, not a single label.

  • 01

    Six roles in order

Three levels of fit with two roles each, so you see the near misses as well as the top result.

  • 02

    The reasoning

What each role actually does day to day and why your answers pointed there.

  • 03

    Courses and resources

A separate section with where to study, so the search does not turn into another week of scrolling.

  • 04

    A certificate

Proof that you finished the test. Your results stay saved in the bot if you want to come back.

The report

Three levels of fit.

Nobody belongs to exactly one role, so the answer arrives as an order rather than a verdict. The second level is often the one worth reading twice.

  • 01

    Best match

The two roles your answers point to most consistently. Start looking here.

  • 02

    Good choice

Close behind, and often a better fit once you know more about the field.

  • 03

    Worth trying

Further from your answers, still open. A weekend project here costs nothing.

The map

Roles the bot works with.

IT is not one profession. These are some of the directions the questions lead to, and each has room for very different people.

  • 01

    Frontend developer

Everything the user touches: layout, behaviour, speed and the feeling that the product is easy.

  • 02

    Backend developer

The logic underneath: data, services and the part that has to keep standing when traffic arrives.

  • 03

    Mobile developer

Apps that live in a pocket, where every megabyte and every second of battery is a design decision.

  • 04

    QA engineer

Making sure the thing works, and that it keeps working after the next release goes out.

  • 05

    Cybersecurity specialist

Looking at a product the way an attacker would, and closing the door before anyone walks through it.

  • 06

    Product manager

Deciding what to build and why, turning a vague request into a task the team can pick up.

How it works

Four taps from question to plan.

Open the bot in Telegram, with no sign-up, email or phone number. Answer twenty pairs of statements: pick the closer one or stay in the middle, and trust the first feeling. Read the report with roles sorted into best match, good choice and worth trying. Then open the courses section, collect the certificate and come back to your saved results whenever you need them.

A pair of statements inside the IT Roadmap bot

Honestly

What IT Roadmap is not.

The bot is a compass, not an oracle. It is worth knowing what it does not promise.

  • 01

    Not a test of ability

Nothing here measures how smart you are or whether you will make it. It maps preferences, not talent.

  • 02

    Not a final answer

People change direction inside IT all the time. Take it again in a year and the order may be different.

  • 03

    Not a data collector

No resume, no contacts, no personal details. The questions are about preferences and nothing else.
