About the project
Keling, Tanishaylik! means “Let’s get acquainted”. It is a weekly meetup project that helps IT Community volunteers get to know each other through small group meetings.
Groups are drawn at random. Your team, your city and the people you already know are not taken into account, which is the whole point: you meet people inside the community you would not run into otherwise, and build connections that outlast a single meetup.
In numbers
A small table, every week.
- WeeklyroundsA new round of meetups starts every week.
- 100+votesUsually collected before the groups are formed.
- 2 to 6peopleIn a single group.
- 2formatsMeet online or offline, the group decides.
How it works
From one vote to a table of five.
The whole process runs through a Telegram bot and the volunteers group. Nothing else to install, nothing else to fill in.

The rules
Networking without the awkward part.
- 01
Simple and effective
A vote, a small group and a meeting. No registration forms, no agenda to prepare, no barrier to entry.
- 02
Random draw
Shavkat Karimov, Head of IT Community, forms the groups once enough votes are in. Team, city and existing friendships are not considered.
- 03
One organiser per group
The first person in the group is responsible for setting up the meetup, online or offline.
- 04
New people every week
The groups are drawn again for every round, so you keep meeting people you have not met yet.
Next round
Activate the bot once, then just vote.
The project is internal and open to IT Community volunteers. Not a volunteer yet? Start with the volunteers bot, where the IT Quiz is the last step before the community group.
